Complicated, compelling reading 
This volume contains such a wide range of themes that I don't know how to categorize it. There are stories about faith, stories about childhood, stories about adulthood, science fiction stories, sex farces, horror stories. They're all compelling and beautifully, tastefully written. "Under the Garden," about a dying man tunneling back into his childhood fantasies, has become one of my favorite short stories of all time.
