hell, yeah! 
Twisted, unexpected. I read mostly non-fiction economics. Vance rocked. His characters are evil and realistic and as multi-faceted as you would expect in a world of high finance. Lots of plot turns. Encore! As an alumni, I especially appreciated he didn't trash GSCO.

Readable but why 
The plot is so ridiculous, when it is figured out, the reader is bothered that a talented story teller couldn't find a better story. Maybe next time.

Harlan Coben with an edge 
Like a Harlan Coben book or a Hitchcock film, this book starts with an ordinary man that gets involved in extraordinary events through no fault of his own. Unlike a Coben book however, the characters are not as likable or fully developed. Nevertheless, for a first time author, the book is pretty slick and fast paced enough that if you put it down, you can't wait to pick it up again. It has action, a complex plot, and suspense. I'd give it five stars instead of four, if it had just a bit more heart.

Respect a Goldman Sachs guy 
Lee Vance knows what he is talking about. He weaved a fun thriller involving Wall Street, murder, romance and psychological twists. I read this book because I was confident if the author included the financial markets, it would be the real thing. He was an insider and gives the reader the benefit of his knowledge. Peter Tyler is the main character, a smart handsome guy, who becomes the target of three murders, one being his wife. The only problem with his story is that he put too much plot into it, too... more info
