MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST, MUST READ
NEVER, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, AT ANY TIME, OR IN ANY PLACE, OR FOR ANY REASON, SHOULD YOU EVEN REMOTELY CONSIDER ANOTHER DIET (ESPECIALLY COMMERICAL DIETS), DIET PILL, OR MIRACLE FOOD BEOFRE READING, PONDERING, AND INTERNALIZING THIS BOOK. Doctors don't get it, the news media doesn't get it, Dr. Laura doesn't get it, commercial... more info

so disappointed
I had such high hopes for this book. As hard as it was for me because of my eating disordered past, I really let go and jumped in and followed everything the authors suggested--from eating slowly to pausing mid-meal to check my hunger level to eating without distraction. In one month! And I was overweight... more info

A Lifesaver!!!
This has got to be one of the best books ever written! I can't tell you how much it has improved my life. I was in a diet downward spiral. Every day I hated myself more and more because I couldn't stick with a diet. This book has freed me and allowed me to begin to love myself again. I feel better than I have in years. I have started taking better care of myself and I am learning to pay attention to what my body needs. I think anyone who struggles with food, whether their overweight or not, should read this... more info

Sounds crazy, doesn't? However, a cornerstone of the theory set forth by the authors is that dieting leads to deprivation, and deprivation leads to binge eating, which produces... more info
