If only I could give this negative stars! 
Please read the other 1-starred review of this product. The author of that review has written almost exactly what I want to write here so I won't repeat a lot of it. I would like to add that the exercises and "games" suggested in this book are more suitable for "special needs" children rather than normal, bright, inquisitive children. Save your money, do not support this sort of garbage disguised as "educational".

A Teacher's Perspective 
Peggy Kaye's books are truly fantastic. Although they are geared towards parents, I use them in my classroom all the time. Hands on, interactive learning is how children learn best. I read the negative review posted by someone who obviously has some ill feelings toward teachers and/or schools. I do not believe Ms. Kaye's intention is to belittle parents, but instead to offer them ways to help their child succeed. Great Games! 
The games in this book are awesome. As for Peggy Kaye, she is humble when admitting that not everyting will "work" and she gives great advice for visual learning. As for her words in the introduction for parents to leave teaching to the teachers....I don't use this book for parenting advice. I only use it for the reading games that are terrific.

I purchased this book and would like to quote a paragraph from the second page of the INTRODUCTION! "Finally, the games get parents more involved in their children's education. I realize that many parents are shy about teaching their children and feel that teaching should be left to teachers.
