  • A Perfect Introduction
    I dreaded the idea of taking a chemistry class because A) I have no real interest in chemistry as a subject, B) Because I have a horrible memory and have a hard time remembering uninteresting things I'm not interested in, and C) I despise math, and I know chemistry contains a lot of it.

    "Introductory Chemistry" by Cracolice and Peters is very well written, and well organized as far as textbooks go.I always found their ability to explain the basic concepts of Chemistry to be superior to many of the other General Chem books on the market. I used this book in conjunction with "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Chemistry" by Ian Guch to self-teach myself almost all of the General Chem curriculum.
