Very good until the end
This fantastical thriller is a riveting thriller with some interesting curves thrown in for the first 80 percent of the novel. The last 20 percent, however, is a disappointment. Much of it seems like filler, and the ends that need to be tied up are done so in a hurried and a little too pat manner. It seems strange that he seemed to waste so many pages on unnecessary scenes and then hurried at the very end. Still, it is a cut above much of the other thriller genre.

time bandit
The read was entertaining. I must say that I agree with the one and two star commentaries the most. It reads like a screenplay and paces as such. The premise and arguments for extended life span were intriguing and confronting the social aspects of a world dealing with such may have been the better story to explore-jumping it into the sci-fi arena. The wolf scene in the end was jaw dropping as in "What the F'k?". Jack London would have been stunned. An escape and I'm older for having read it.

A gripping saga.
Raymond Khoury's THE SANCTUARY receives veteran narrator Richard Ferrone's smooth voice as it provides a powerful new political thriller set in 1750 Naples and 2003 Baghdad. Three men and a swordfight, a deep-hold secret, and a mission which crosses centuries to modern-day Baghdad politics creates a gripping saga.

I read the preface the a short description of the book on the back and what can I say? It captured my attention. What a read that was! I loved it! Enough about the first book, you want the review for this one right?
Anyways, after finishing The Last Templar, I was downtown at a Virgin megastore and saw this book sitting on a shelf. I nearly... more info
