  Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, is definitely one of the foremost metaphysical teachers and authors. Each of his books is worth studying at least once. This isn't to say that one should agree with all of his expressed viewpoints. He himself fought against his movement's having a specific credo, arguing that as times change, perspectives change.
