Please people 
They made them wear yellow?? How unfashionable, er, unfathomable! Really people, is it oppressive to have someone wear a particular color? Does that make a school uniform oppressive?
Today we live in a world where people carry passports or some other ID with their nationality, religion, etc as a means of identification. In the middle ages, they dressed like people alike. Another right wing view of the ME conflict 
Simply put, and not to stretch this to be too long of a review, this is another book that reiterate the myth that the Middle East conflict is a religious conflict and not a political one. The goal is obvious and simple; a religious conflict that goes back to more than 1400 years and deeply rooted into the theology of the religion is a never-ending conflict. Finally...I get it! 
I have read several books on Islam, but have always been left confused as to exactly what Islam's theology is. This book finally made sense to me, especially regarding the conflicting passages of the Qur'an where some say that "religion should not be of compulsion" verses those that encourage "jihad" and forceable conversion. An excellent personal testimony 
As a Christian basically unfamiliar with Islam I enjoyed reading this book. I was introduced to several concepts of Islamic thought which were brand new to me, especially the concept of nasikh. I am puzzled by those who were offended by the simple style of the author. Certainly this is explainable by considering who the intended audience is.
