  While I may be Susan's cousin, this book was tremendously informative in a one-night, easy-read session. I gave it to my husband, the physician, and he has passed it on to his office manager. The ideas are good, even for an English department meeting, and I think the idea of an agenda is more than important. The new chairman does not do an agenda--"I know what I need to cover..."--and at the first meeting, she had to tell someone that "we will discuss that in a bit later on in the meeting".

• Where was this book when I needed it!
  A frustrated meeting leader as a teacher, President of a Teacher's Association, President of a single parent group, and as a technical writer, I wish I had had the feast of ideas in "Gourmet Meetings." Schools should make "Gourmet Meetings" required reading for all business programs
