• Scary Illustrations
  I thought this would be a good book to have to teach our 2 year old son about changes. But the illustrations are very scary. Our son immediately closed the book and both my husband and I were not pleased with them. The faces are purple, red, green, and of all different shapes and scary to look at. Even the illustrations where kids are kicking or are very mad are distasteful to look at. I think that there are better ways to teach a child about changes, where it doesn't have to involve alien-looking... more info

• My First Day of School
  This book was a lifesaver for me. My daughter cried for two weeks about the prospect of going to school. Once we started reading My First Day of School, she was so excited and ready to go. Her entire perspective changed. It was like all of her anxiety just disappeared. I love this book and can't wait for more titles in the series.
