• reads like a grade school book report
  I am considering entry into the self storage industry and have done a moderate amount of research to date on the internet. My expectations weren't overswhelming for this book since I was sure it wouldn't be market or region specific and it wouldn't be able to factor in current economic conditions. This book is about 90 pages and could have been reduced to less than half of that if you take out the double-spaced bullet points scattered throughout each chapter.   This book is an excellent - "high level" overview of what to look for and how to obtain a self storage business. I highly recommend it.

• Not a detailed step by step but good general information
  Just finished the book, as well as returned from a seminar of which I had spent almost two full days with one of the authors (RK). I am an investor with a developer background and was looking for a book that shared the details of how to invest in self storage. This is not the book. It provides general information but doesn't get into the details. It was very typical of how the author teaches as well. I would describe it as a good beginner book, but not a detailed step by step. • How to invest in self storage.
  This book provides a simple introduction into some of the factors to be considered for investing in a self storage facility. It should not be considered as a complete guide; however, is a very adequate introduction. It was a well done book and is well worth its price.
