Boring and poorly organized
This book is unorganized and hard to follow. Here and there, there are interesting ideas but some of them are not explored sufficiently. For example the author brings up "Eye-Accessing Cues" at the end of chapter 4 which is very important but he only writes a few simple paragraphs on the issue which is not enough. If you want to know more about body language and how to read people I recommend "The Definitive Book of Body Language" by Allan and Barbara Pease.

I know what you are thinking.....
Well, it feels like i do after reading David Lieberman's "You can read anyone". It was such riveting reading that i couldn't put it down for a whole week reading the pages over and over again to see if i missed out on any new information. I love the theory followed by example format which was chosen and even tested some examples in real life. Whilst i cannot say it works 100% of the time, i find it still very compelling to read and try out. Its funny to see that sometimes human behaviour can be so... more info

good book some good points
It's a good book with some good information. Not great book, not a bad book...if you pick this book up you will read people a little better but nowhere near how the title implies

late night infommercial
So far I am only about half way through this book, and I am not sure that I can finish it. As I read through the foreward, I got the same feeling as when I was watching some late night commercial on how if I did this program I will suddenly become rich and quit my job or how this new vacuum would suck all the dirt out my carpet like never before. The book has some okay tactics, but nothing that is earth shattering. All the tactics that I have read are a)very very basic, and b) very subjective.more info
