NIce read- if you're into that kind of thing
As far as textbooks go I find no faults with Brock. The book has a great level of depth and certainly covers such a broad subject splendidly. I'm finding it difficult to separate the book from the instructor I had but as I think about it I wish I had relied more on the text than on lecture notes. Since most people purchasing this text are force to buy it I'll speak to the minority of those just desiring to learn microbiology on their own and say that you're crazy and you should probably read Brock!

Great book for Microbiology
I needed this book for Microbiology class. This book has great color diagrams that coincide with the reading material. It also contains photos of organisms under microscopes which also enables the reader to get the full picture of the learned material.

Brock Biology of Microbiology
This book involves valuable information I need for my college course, but I found that the binding was poor. The first few pages of my book came out after one time of reading.
