• Helpful if you are not a "natural" with electronic devices
  I just do not figure out machines intuitively, so this book was a great help. I have had a Blackberry for years, but I got curious about what the machine could really do when one of my co-workers started showing me programs and shortcuts.
  My phone is now customized, I have new games and finally found out how to use the password protector. What a great item. If you cannot never figure it out on your own, you might consider this book.

• Blackberry Curve Guide Made Not So Simple
  This book is vast in size and detail but lacks many visuals that a new user of the BlackBerry would find very useful.
  I believed I was purchasing a book similar to ones that I have used in the "For Dummies" series. Had I been able to look through this book at a store, I would not have purchased it.

• Could be much better
  This book helps, but could be much, much better.
  When I want to learn about anything IT, I buy one of the "Bible" books -- "The Excel 2007" Bible or "The Word 2007 Bible." They are very, very well done: very understandable even to those of us electronically challenged, well written, well illustrated, etc.

  From one extreme to another
  The "manual" which is supplied with the Blackberry is so elementary that many features remain mysterious to the new user.
  This book supplies so much detail that many features of the Blackberry remain mysterious unless the reader has unlimited time to read through excessive detail.
