• Good first book to read
  I read this as one of my first books on hypnosis and found it to be informative. It offered a basic outline of what to expect and how to use hypnosis in an effective manner. If you are not familiar with hypnosis, this will provide basic information that will be important to building a strong foundation in how you construct your hypnosis sessions. • A nice starting point
  I am only interesting in learning about hypnosis for personal use, not in starting a business or becoming a hypnotist. For this purpose, this book is fine. Many of the routines described I have previously ran across in other self help books. I don't know if the book is good hypnotizing other people or not. I've tried the routines on two people and I feel like it worked on one and not so well on the other. However, for personal meditative use, it's a pretty good read.   This a great starting point for learning hypnosis. As the title says "For Beginners".
  If you need more than that, this is not the book for you.
