Sexist and 'Out there'
The author gives an introduction to several subjects, including but not limited to chakras, Spirit Guides, crystals, soul retrieval, etc. While comprehensive, her writing style is constrained and the content is, well, far fetched. It's obvious that she is a feminist and wrote this book solely for other women. I'm alright with that notion except she seems to introduce an anti-male bias into every chapter and at some point her emotional baggage overpowers the information she tries to convey. Absolutely Appalled! Poorly researched.
I was absolutely appalled when Stein included that she believed that psychic healings resulted from a photograph from Medjugorje, Bosnia. The apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina absolutely condemn the subject of this book and the subject of Stein's previous works! An easily accessible, comprehensive resource
I enjoy all of Ms. Stein's books. They are written in easy to understand language and are great as reference resources. This book is no exception. I also... more info

A good book, even if you're not a woman
I found the book very informative. Good data and in keeping with the high quality of her 'Essential Reiki' book (my standard for Rekik study.) My only notation is her consistant reference to Wikka and feminism/goddess. It's used as a flag for her personal values and I found the permeating references more of a distraction to the whole work, rather than a,perhaps, necessary adjunct.
