An 80's horror hit that has never looked better. 
For those who are in their mid to late 30's, we all have our ties to the 80's. Some love that decade as I do, and some want to forget it. When it comes to 80's films, I have a special love for them. Burn Rubber Does Not Mean Warp Speed! 
I remember winning free tickets to this movie when I was a teenager. It rocked then and still rocks now. It was slick, ultra cool, and dark just like any good vampire movie should be. While this may not be a "classic" film, it's definitely a cult classic. And let's not forget the soundtrack which I still play to this day. And as for the recent sequel (Lost Boys, The Tribe), all I can I say is "Cry Little Sister."

A Satisfying Horror-Fantasy Flick (Rating: 3.5 of 5) 
Far from being a perfect film, or even great for that matter, it is none the less a movie that will live on. As with anything, time can be very revealing. But things that seem pretentious and awkward now, were felt wholly different circa '87. But that happens with any film as it dates, and that is not the reason why I give it a 3.5 rather than a 4 or 4.5 (on to that later).
