the quality has gone down
About 6 months ago I took my VCR in for a professional cleaning before I started transfering my tapes over to disc. I have used the Maxell head cleaner in the past with good luck. I cracked open a new one to use. When my tape got a little grainy I used it only to have a big clump of oxide or whatever it is that is used on the cleaner come off and clog the heads so badly that it rendered my VCR worthless with no picture. I took it back to the repairman and had it recleaned 'cause there was nothing I could... more info

dry VCR cleaner
Well, it works...but it took several "runs" to clean my VCR heads sufficiently. Still given how difficult it has been to even find a VHS cleaning tape, I'm glad to have found this one. Who knows? Maybe my VCR heads were just VERY DIRTY?

Great VCR Cleaner
I've used this VCR cleaner for years and it does a good job of keeping the heads clean. I use it every 2-3 months as I do a lot of taping and tape viewing. I have never had a problem with it in any VCR and I have several different brands. It lasts a long time and is good value for the money. All pros, no cons.
