• best fighter game around
  i just have to say this game was great. i rented it around 11 o'clock a.m. i stopped playing it at 12 at night. i was so drawn into it i didnt realize how long i had been playin. it is so real and being in a F-14 Tomcat was a dream it was just like a real HUD display. the only problem was there should be more American fighters, it was all focused around the jap jets,but i can understand it because it was made in japan. lol. so i give it a 4.5 out of 5 . great game but the price is still to high for me to... more info

• Great flying game
  This is a great flying game. Makes you feel like a real pilot with great controls. No, you don't get to blow up a whole lot of things, but it is pretty challenging. Good selection of planes to choose from and a fantastic training mode. It could use a little more variety of modes but the graphics and flight simulation are extremely good. Overall, a great game.

• Nice to look at for the first 10 minutes or so
  but it gets old pretty quickly after that. The terrain looks good and the controls are very easy to operate. But there aren't any combat missions; your entire selection of combat options are dogfighting against either one or two enemy planes. Most of the game consists of target shooting, flying around courses and shooting at baloons. This might be a good choice for a younger child who just wants to fly around some nice scenery and maybe learn to land the plane on the runway. I played it a total of about 2... more info

• What IS this game supposed to be anyway????
  First the good: Airstrike looks beautiful, and controls are easy to use.

  And the bad: Airstrike is not a wargame. This means you WON'T get your typical flight-sim mission directives like "Fly behind enemy lines, take out the enemy radio towers, avoid SAM's and enemy aircraft...", etc.

  Instead what you get are very simplistic goals like: "Shoot down this plane... which will be harder than the last plane you shot down". Most of the game consists of "Training Missions" which instruct players in the basics... more info
