• reminder on zeroll scoops and spades
  Just a reminder that the scoops and spades contain a fluid in the handle that transfers the heat from your hand into the scoop cup or blade. It will leak out if placed in the dishwasher based upon the lquid's properties and the nature of the seal on the end of the handle.

• Nice concept, but
  It's an interesting idea, using internal antifreeze to keep the scoop warm, but the drawback is that it tends to melt the ice cream still in the container. Either that, or after extended scooping, it gets cool again, and doesn't offer the same melting action. I've pretty much tried all the scoops made, and the Oxo one has by far been the best one, due to its comfortable rubber grip, which really makes the difference when scooping out the well frozen ice cream. • It was great - until I washed it!
  Worked like a charm until I put it through the dishwasher, and now it always exudes a fine black residue. Maybe some kind of rust? Can't use it anymore unless I want black grime on my ice cream. I have emailed the manufacturer to ask what's going on; haven't heard back yet.
