Horribly overpriced. 
This part is over priced for its ability to actually remain mounted on a lense. Tends to slip off or sideways. Should cost about $5.

Does its job 
Pro: does what it suppose to Con:
- thin plastic that feels flimsy (ES-71II on my 50f1.4 is far better by comparison, and cheaper as too), questionable attachment to the lens with the snap on mechanism. But this is the only choice you got for Canon 100 f2.

85mm 1.8 lens hood 
I shoot in very crowded and compact areas at times using two cameras so protecting any swinging camera lens is important. Since my 85mm 1.8 prime lens didn't come with a hood (I think only L series lenses come with hoods.), I decided to buy one for it more to protect the lens and not really to prevent any flares. This hood actually snaps onto the lens instead of twisting/sliding on. Not exactly a sturdy and firm fit but as long as it does it's job in protecting the lens I'm happy. I would only... more info

Good hood 
I always have a hood on my lens for reasons that photography sites advise.
This hood has practical CONS:
- It feels a bit flimsy when putting on/off a lens
- It is hard to take lens cover off when the hood is on, would be pretty much impossible if you have thick fingers.
These CONS probably don't matter since if you need a hood for you Canon lens you will have to get this one. Sigma hoods are the best in my experience. Also it doesn't take much room in your bag if you put it... more info
