  The pan and top are well made and the pouring spout allows drainage of the liquids without pouring out the contents. A lot easier than using a straining utensil.

• How could I cook without it
  I consider this one of the most helpful items that I've purchase in a long while. I've found a dozen uses for this pot and it is so esy to keep clean and so useful.

  I love this saucepan. I have used it for everything from boiling potatoes to deep frying artichokes and it has handled every task very well. I use it often and it has become one of my favorite pans.
  I love that it is extra deep. The self-straining lid makes it easy to boil food and saves dirty dishes. It feels sturdy and well-made and I like the soft feel of the handle. Clean-up is easy.
  I recommend it highly.
