  I have been using the Smart Strip for about 6 months now. I was given the unit by the inventor. He told me that although it is manufactured in China (like so much else we buy) he had personally inspected the factory and was confident that the working conditions and environmental safety standards were good.

• Great Product - But caution if intend to use will a Dell laptop
  Check the manufacturer's website if you intend to use this with a Dell laptop as your "control" device. It does not work with certain laptop models. It worked beautifully with one of my laptops, but not with the other.

• Easy to use, one problem i had.
  It was easy enough to use, does what it says and shuts off the electricity to your devices when you power them off. One thing though, is the lights on the power strip are always on. Does that power usage outweigh the power saved by using this smart switch? Has anyone done the calculation to see how much electricity is saved? Or how many devices you have to plug into it in order to off set how much is used by the power strip?

  Saves my PC from using 50watts all of the time. Purchased two of them, both work great.
