• great product, but...
  I loved the CHI at first. It does a wonderful job of straightening my hair and leaves it so smooth and straight. But, after a few uses I started noticing my hair was singed. It doesn't have a dial to turn down the temp or anything. I have just gotten some protein conditioner and use that and I try to only use the CHI on occasion. It is NOT for every day use! Which really is a bummer since I love the way it makes my hair look, just don't like the singed hairs!

  I love, love, love my Chi. It straightens very well, and makes my hair silky, smooth, and soft. I recommend this for people who want to try out more high-end straighteners.

• I'm sure that it works
  ...but there are absolutely no included instructions or tips for styling. Also, the wands didn't come together tightly enough to make much of a difference on my hair. Quite a disappointment for the $$ spent.

• Beware if it needs repair or replacement!!
  I'll agree like most people that this is a great product. Well worth the extra money because it's far superior to other flat irons. HOWEVER!!!!!! If it fails to work properly, good luck getting it replaced. Mine worked fine for about 6 months, when one day it wouldn't turn on. That's when I discovered the Reset button didn't work. The product has a one year warranty, but Amazon has only a 30 day warranty. The product manufacturer says return it to the place you bought it for replacement, but Amazon wouldn't... more info
