• Great radio
  I bought this radio with its features in mind. It has the ability to let you plug in an auxillary music source, and plays MP3s. I have used it both ways and as an ordinary radio. It has great sound and contrary to another review has plenty of volume. It is a bit large, doesn't have a remote, and the ac adapter is heavy. Overall I would buy it again.

  ok so this will sound wierd but I got this for my dog who is afraid of thunder. We had an old boom box that wore out so decided to get a new one. He says to tell you that this one is AOK. We also needed one for when out power goes out - which is often. So we are very happy with this purchase. - both dog and family. What more can you ask for???!!!

• Not as robust as I hoped
  I bouhgt this unit to use in less than ideal environments (outside, garage, around wet or dusty environments). The unit is heavier than I thought but it doesnn't feel especially sturdy. The plastic seems like it will break easily. Battery life is poor (maybe 8 hours on 6 "D" cells) and the sound volume is on the weak side. The sound quality, however, is good. • Not exactly what I wanted but works well enough.
  This can be pro or con depending on the person but it is bigger and heavier (especially with 6 D batteries) than I expected. I know this was written in the specs but you just can't always imagine it from written descriptions. The sound is not as good as I expected but acceptable. The speakers are not as rugged as the rest of the unit. They are the typical indoor paper fiber material and not polypropylene or some similar water resistant material.
