  I am considering the purchase of a kindle. I am waiting until the kindle can read pdf files and download ebooks from my local library. Then it will be the ultimate ebook!

• I love the kindle but...
  1. I think the navigation bars are too long. Much of this press-able area should provide a solid area in order to get a firm grasp of the unit. Far too many times I've accidentally pressed next or previous and got lost in the fray.
  2. I also think the look-up, highlight and note feature, accessible via the scroll bar, is useful, but being able to save and later retrieve a personal dictionary of looked up words is practicable and could be a selling point.

  I heard about the Kindle from a fellow physical therapy patient who went on and on about the wonderfulness of his Kindle. His enthusiasm convinced me to investigate the product
  Now I am extolling the virtues of my Kindle! When I have a need for a new book at 11pm I just order one and my book is on my Kindle in seconds! I get so enthusiastic that I call it the "Amazing Kindle" instead of the Amazon Kindle.

• Love mine BUT needs refining...
  I have had my Kindle for a couple of weeks now and I am several chapters into my first book...
  Things I like...
  1. Easy to read... adjustable font and the print on the screen is excellent... I still need my glasses for clarity but this is Kindles nicest feature.
  2. Whispernet downloads are nice but I have not found it to be as fast as they claim... my first book was rather large and took about 15 minutes to download.
  3. Book prices are good, sometimes great. I bought Les Miserables... more info
