  I ordered this even though I was worried by the other reviews that list "too slick", "too big" or "not enough room to store things" as it's negatives. I really like it. I have an older 12" wide IBM thinkpad that's smaller than the cloth pad, but I don't have to flip it for size unless I prefer to. It's grippy and the laptop sits in place very sturdily! • The must have for a laptop lap
  If you are going to use your laptop in your lap, then this is a must. Comfortable, easy to use and puts the laptop at the right angle for relaxed viewing. Keeps laptop heat away from you. The only con is that it is not comfortable for bed use, puts to much strain on the neck.

• does what it needs to do
  The stand does it's job however I don't know how I could put a mouse or cord in the center for storage.

  I would recommend this stand if you spend a lot of time (like I do) with your laptop on your lap. I found it very comfortable.
