Dyson DC18 great product 
I ordered the Dyson DC18 from Macy's at a clearance price with gift cards; so we got a great deal. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it or not; it seemed wobbly, and I missed some features of my Bissell (red light dirt indicator, and dirt vs fur separation in bin). However, we figured out some things 1) when you leave the Dyson standing upright, you need to lift the red footstand so that it locks in place. An excellently engineered vacuum 
We were in need of a vacuum with the following features: great suction, light-weight, easy to manuever in tight places, quality construction, and backed by a company with the best warranty and service. Our previous vacuum had died and our carpet needed help with "deep-down" dirt, hair, and other elements. After extensive research, and after considering the Dyson DC-25, we ordered the DC-18 from Amazon. Close friends have had the DC-18 for the past year and highly recommended it. I love it!
This is a great vacuum! I use it everyday and am still amazed at how much dust and dirt I can find in my house. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it were a little easier to use on my stairs.
