  • Worked for less than one year!
More and more of these players are being made like they're disposable! Had this for about 7 months when the "loading" flashing began and a month later it wouldn't play anything at all. A waste of money.

  • Excellent DVD player
I was looking for a nice upconverter to use with my new HDTV and I came across this one. I love it. It plays pretty much everything you can think of, including dual layer burned DVDs. The upconverting isn't going to be Blu-Ray quality obviously, but it definitely enhances the picture quality. Great product!

  • Near HD quality (when used with HDMI cable) at a low price
It's hard to beat beat all the features for this extremely low price. I already have 2 units and am considering buying a 3rd.

  • Only because no stars wasn't an option
We purchased this DVD player at Christmas. From day 1 the picture was very stretched vertically. This happened on every DVD we tried. We learned to live with it. We really aren't picky.
We've just passed July 4th and now the DVD player won't recognize any DVD or CD AT ALL. We contacted Sony and were told that we would need to send it in for warranty repair. BUT, they wanted us to pay $36 + shipping for the repair to be completed under warranty.
(I know, that didn't make sense to me either.)more info
