• same problem as others had
  Like everyone else who complained about this product, I had it for about a year now and suddenly I could not access any data on it.
  Symptom looked like: The drive made a clicking sound, Windows XP could see the drive when USB is plugged in, but could not access the data.

• A good drive for basic backup needs
  I use Apple's Time Machine with my MacBook Pro and find this drive to work just fine for that application. Upon first connection, Time Machine will reformat the drive to suit its needs. Otherwise, installation was seamless, simple, and the drive is working just fine since then. If you don't need Firewire support, then don't pay for it. This drive has a single USB 2.0 connection, and that's all I needed. So far, so good.

• set it and forget it
  Phew! Now I don't worry about backups any more. Got this unit, installed it instantly, set my backup program instantly, and it has worked flawlessly, quietly, dependably. Love it.

• Endless sorage
  It's small and light. Very, almost stupidly easy to use, it's like plug and play. You can put it between your books and it gets confused with one of them. Excellent product and good price.
