Not exactly what I was looking for
This book was an ok read, but I didn't find a lot of the tips useful as I'm already working on my weight loss. I didn't like how she talked so badly about herself and it sort of made me feel bad too just reading it. There are some interesting bits in there, but for the most part I didn't find it all that inspirational. Might be good for some, but not everyone.

The Best Motivational Book for Losing Weight
This book was the absolutely best book I have ever read to motivate a person who wants to lose weight. I have been yo-yo dieting for about 40 years now and so you can imagine how many books I have read and own on the subject of losing weight. I have been striving to get back to 'that place' where 'I work' and this book reminded me of the things I need to do to get back there and STAY there this... more info

A journey to maintenance
My favorite part of this book so far is that it says I am overweight because I just plain like to eat, and share the author's weakness for Tex-Mex! It is not because I have been horribly abused in my childhood - other than being bullied for being chubby. It is not because I am big boned - I was a 2 lb preemie. It discussions the delusions we hold and need to discard and the illusions we need to use and keep in our hand. For example, she advocates eating meals on a salad plate with a salad fork or tea spoon... more info
