Customer Reviews:

  • Avg. Customer Rating: 3.5 / 5.0

  • Norton Works Well for PPC Mac
Norton AntiVirus v.11.0 works great for my PPC G5 Mac running 10.4.11. It installed without any issues, and it's cheap insurance considering all the threats on the Internet. I haven't found any viruses yet, but I do transfer files from my Win XP system - there I've found several in the past year. Bottom line - good peace of mind.

  • GREAT PRODUCT FOR MAC
NORTON FOR THE MAC IS EXCELLENT. THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT AND WELL WORTH THE PRICE.

  • Very Slow Software
This software works but it really really really slow. Really really really slow. Slows my new imac to a crawl and the slowest of antivirus scans I've ever seen. Just changed over from the PC world and as a creature of habit keep antivirus installed. All the antivirus authors seem to have free trials except Symantec. Probably because you'd be really frustrated and not buy the program... This was the biggest waste of money I've spent on software in a long time. • Totally useless
There are no virus' for OS X.
The only malware was a trojan that the user had to download from a porn site, run and give it your admin password. This would not have stopped it.
If you feel you must use AV software to protect windows users you share files with, get something better like the free ClamX av.
Norton is the only product I ever installed that hosed OS X-constant kernel panics until I uninstalled it.
