• The High Kings
  If you enjoy Celtic music, this is a must. Some good old standards done with humor, gusto and haunting harmonies. It's a "must have" if only for the rendition of "The Parting Glass". Don't pass this one by! Product was just as described by the vendor and shipping was without problems. Be sure and check out the DVD version as well. There are always treats that are missed on the CD alone.

• Very upbeat
  This has become one of my favorite CDs. Upbeat and complex harmony. Fun listening.

• A Truly Lovely Irish Quartet
  I first heard the High Kings in a spot on NPR, and I ordered the CD immediately. I am a fan of gorgeous harmonies, Irish music and singalongable (is that a word?) tunes. This CD delivers!

• Saccharine Pop Production
  I heard these guys sing a capella on NPR's All Things Considered, and thought they sounded great. Unfortunately, this recording fails to capture any excitement. The arrangements are pompous and booming, taking great songs of the Irish tradition and rendering them sickly sweet. Further, the tempo drags, which only prolongs the agony.
