• Whether it's about a dog, Sinatra, or being honest, it's goodies to your ears
  I'm not totally sure what "Frank" means exactly. I originally thought it had to do with her blunt honesty, but a friend told me she was a huge fan of Sinatra and named her dog (I think he's the one on the cover) after him. Anyway, Amy's voice is amazing and while her vocals are reminiscent of Billie, Sarah, and Ella, she manages to pull off her own style. • Great Artist and Song Stylist
  If she lives long enough and keeps developing her craft, Amy will rank among the great female vocalists of all time: Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. On this album she manages to rise above some horrendous arrangements and tedious percussion (is it human or machine-made?) on "Round Midnight" and "Moody's Mood for Love" and others. • A great album, but...
  GAWD HOW I HATE THOSE "EXPLICIT" and FBI logos that ruin the covers.
  It REALLY stands out here.
  Dont the record companies have the brains to print a 1000, for $1.00, STICKERS that can be peeled off -
  Some great artwork and covers are ruined becasue the EXPLICIT is part of the cover artwork

• what a talent
  BACK IN BLACK was my favorite cd of the last two years. so i wanted to go back and hear how our amy sounded before. its not as stylized its a bit looser but the two cd set is chock full of incredible performances lots of great originals that are not particularly in the style of BIB but still noteworthy and on the second cd there are some exquisite remakes of some amazing standards and some interesting remixes of songs from the first cd. the booklet is full of pictures of a beautiful young healthy woman.... more info
