    We owe this guy. Should be require reading for policy makers and intelligence officials, so they understand the mental setting. Shocking and unbelivable.

    Gabriel's book exposes the lies and distortions being unwittingly disseminated by western media and governments. It could be the most important book you will ever read. Gabriel once taught in the Egyptian university that is the spriitual seat of Islam. He was forced to flee for his life when he began to question some of the tenets of his faith.   • If you're doing research look elsewhere
    I had gotten this book as part of my thesis related to the global Salafi jihad, unfortunately within a couple of minutes I realized that I could not cite a book such as this whatsoever for several reasons:
    - The author, despite having acquired a Ph.D., does not provide citations nor complete quotes or correct translations when referencing Arabic sources.
    - The author's knowledge of Islam is terribly superficial, so that no real substance or Islamic jurisprudence is included or analyzed.

  • A sobering view of what we are facing.
    Dr. Gabriel has written an easily digestible accounting of what he experienced and how Islam as he knows it differs from how most of us in the West have been led to believe. I am becoming more firmly convinced that we need to devote more resources to actively study this religion/way of life in order to gain understanding and develop ways to communicate with the types of terror minded people he is writing about.
