As to whether it is worth the extra money for the 3-Element over the regular barlow, save yourself the cash and get the regular 2x Barlow. This is a seriously cool lense, it comes fast, and works like a dream, mostly. If you use a too small a focal length lense with it, it gets kind of fuzzy.
