I bought this case for my SONY HDR SR-11 when we went to Disney World for our honeymoon. I would say after a week of use in all the parks (except blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon), this case did a good job of protecting my camcorder. I did not use the strap, I had it on my belt all the time.more info
