The US DVD have a severely cropped image (though not 4x3) compared to the english region 2 release, which offer the complete image in a very wide format, with lots of black top and bottom. In you don't have a 31 inch (or bigger) 16x9 TV set, this can look awkward, but if you do, get the UK region 2... more info
