In fact, it works so well that the front intake screen has gotten covered with a visible layer of brown dust (which I wipe off). I never noticed my house being all that 'dusty'... more info
Customer Review: An old, dark filter proved it was working. Due to cost, it wasn't replaced more often but was vacuumed. I stocked up when it was on sale in the Gold Box and at a 4 for 3 special.

Customer Review: I don't know how they work, exactly but they DO work! I've had them in the tank for 2 winters now and they definitely help the filters stay cleaner and last longer and there is no white bulid-up on the tank EVER! They are well worth the money--I know they look funny but believe me, they work!
