I had been looking for a player that would play my AVI files. I found this, and not only will it play the AVI videos I've burned to DVD but it will also play them from a USB stick. I love this!
My only caveat is you have to use short file names to be able to read the files. Which means I either... more info

Small slick DVD player. Does all as promised. Play PAL and NTSC DVD's, upscales output up to 1080p. I really can tell difference compare to regular progressive scan DVD players.
