Reiki - Usui Shiki Ryoho (the Usui System of Natural Healing) - is a form of healing and spiritual awakening.

I have been practicing Reiki since 1993 I received Reiki Initiations from Reiki Master Dee Millard in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Reiki Master Anita Levin in Toronto, Ontario.

What is a Reiki Treatment?

Reiki is the practice of transmitting healing energy (chi) by placing the hands on the body in various positions that usually correspond to the major organs and energy centers or chakras, such as the heart or adrenal glands.

You remain fully clothed, either lying down, or seated in a chair. I place my hands on specific spots on the head, torso and back; usually leaving the hands in each position for about five minutes.

Normally there will be a deep sense of relaxation, and at times there may be a sensation of the energy working in the body. Sometimes people like to talk about what comes up for them during the treatment and sometimes people remain quiet or fall asleep.

How long does a Reiki Treatment take?

A typical Reiki treatment will take about 45 minutes.
